On Wednesday, March 6th, Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan announced their appointments to the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Council on Information Technology. Clockwork CEO Nancy Lyons is included on the list of six people alongside Minnesota leaders from major corporations like Land O’ Lakes, TCF Bank, and Delta.
The advisory group, made up of experts in both the private and public sectors of IT, will provide advice on how to update and maintain the State’s IT systems. Their goal is ensuring Minnesota residents and businesses who interact with the State receive the best possible service.
As the original press release shares, Tim Walz said of the council: “I am grateful for the high caliber of experts who have stepped forward to ensure Minnesota has a first-rate technology system. With their expertise and guidance, we will review large projects like MNLARS, improve customer service, and implement critical security measures to protect Minnesota from cyberattacks.”
